DelGiorno House

History

DelGiorno House is named for Bernard J. DelGiorno, AB’54, AB’55, MBA’55.  After receiving his AB from the College in 1954, Mr. DelGiorno went on to earn an additional AB degree as well as his MBA at Chicago in 1955. He currently serves as First Vice President of Investments at UBS Financial Services. He also continues as one of the University’s most tireless supporters, offering financial support in addition to volunteering his time and service.  A long-time supporter of Chicago athletics, Mr. DelGiorno directs the majority of his philanthropic support toward improving Chicago’s athletic facilities, including Stagg Field and the Gerald Ratner Athletic Center. However, he regularly makes generous contributions to the College and to Chicago Booth. He also plays an active role on the College Visiting Committee and the Alumni Emeriti Committee.

Culture

DelGiorno House is a social place. With a reputation for exuberant House pride, we find time for both study and play. DelGiorno typically does very well at inter-House competitions, including IM flag football, kareoke and costume contests. DelGiorno residents, being an active group, find their way into all sorts of cross-House groups, making the connection between House life and the rest of the House System.
