HistoryLinn House (more commonly referred to as Linnhaus by its residents) bears the name of James Weber Linn (1876"1939), long-time professor in the English Department at the UofC , and nephew of Jane Addams. Since its inception, Linnhaus has been tucked in the southeast corner of Burton-Judson Courts. Linn finds itself between the Law School.s fountain pond and the Burton Courtyard. The street noise is minimal. Sporting such features, Linn has no intention of moving. CultureLinnhaus is all about chillin.; whether with board games, card games (particularly euchre), debater-style conversation or spur of the moment events such as trips and movies on the big screen (in Judson Lounge). Linnhaus prides itself on its IM alliance with its neighbor, Mathews House, and tends to bring it on every match. Other popular Linn activities include ultimate frisbee, street hockey, and some good ol. fashioned Dance Dance Revolution. |
