May House

History

Founded in the fall of 2001, May House was named in honor of University alumnus Peter May. The House occupies the East and South wings of both the 1st and 2nd floors in Max Palevsky East Residential Commons. At 102 residents it is one of the largest Houses in the House System. It has about half first year students, and half upperclass students.

Culture

May House is a vibrant and laidback community. Residents tend to be friendly and very social, both within the House and outside of it. Residents actively participate in a wide range of activities including Intra-Mural sporting events, various community service endeavors, the University's annual Scav Hunt, and regular House trips to restaurants, movies, and shows. May House showcases its talents in an annual Talent Show, as well as through House poetry and story readings, and student lectures.
