HistoryWe are named for Edith Rickert (1871-1938), a former professor of English literature who is noted for her work on Chaucer and the Canturbury Tales. We were origionally located in Woodward Court residence hall where all the Houses were named for prominent female professors. We now occupy the third and fourth floors of Max Palevsky West and have 83 residents. CultureAbout half of Rickert residents are first years, bringing fresh faces, fresh ideas and general freshness to the house each year. Veteran Residents encourage continued involvement in Model UN victories, University Theater Productions, Off-Off Campus hilarity, cultural show performances, IM and Varsity athletics, and social dance. Our awe inspiring house council includes positions as Doomsayer, Toxic Avenger, Mother Goose, and Unpaid Intern. |
