5700 Stony Island is an apartment building that houses upperclass and transfer students located near Lake Michigan, about eight blocks from the center of campus. It's a fifteen-minute walk directly east of the Regenstein Library and the Reynolds Club and near the popular restaurants and bookstores on 57th Street. The building consists of about twenty two-bedroom apartments. Four residents share each apartment, which feature full kitchens and large living rooms.

Culture

5700 Stony Island is a residence for upper-class students. These residents choose to live at Stony Island because they want a quieter, more home-like living space that still maintains some of the benefits of dorm life, including staff-sponsored programming. Stony Island is a community for independent people.
