Configure an email client to use your @uchicago.edu (cMail) account

NSIT's official recommendation is to stick to the pre-configured Mozilla Thunderbird included in the NSIT Connectivity Package. Nonetheless, it publishes its server information and configuration instructions for some common Windows and Mac clients. You only need the separate authsmtp transition guide if you have previously configured your client to use the old SMTP server. Most users should connect by IMAP.

Move an address book between email clients

The idiosyncrasies of addressbook formatting are far beyond this document. Try Interguru's Address Book converter, and then try Google, and then submit a work order if you really, really have to.
