Welcome home, Maroons!
As the Executive Director of Housing & Residence Life (HRL), I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome home to you.
Nestled in the culturally diverse neighborhood of Hyde Park, our residence halls transcend mere buildings; they are dynamic communities, hosting 48 unique Houses, where you will build friendships, discover new interests, and create lasting memories. By being a part of our residential communities, you will experience life-changing adventures, lively debates, and unique community traditions that will shape your character and influence your college journey and beyond, as you actively contribute to the vibrant legacy of being a Maroon.
In HRL, we believe ‘Critical inquiry begins with a good night’s rest’ because we understand a well-rested mind is necessary for your intellectual exploration and academic success. That is why we strive to provide an environment where you can live authentically, rest, and truly feel at home within our community.
We encourage each of you, our valued residents, to embrace engaged and inquisitive citizenship within our surrounding community. Get involved in activities that deepen your understanding of the community we inhabit and make the most of the diverse resources on and around campus. Let’s also be great neighbors, mindful of the broader context, and contribute positively to the well-being of the neighborhoods we’re proud to be a part of.
Our team of professional and student staff in HRL is committed to making your experience safe, transformative, and enjoyable. We are here to support your growth and development, and we look forward to assisting you to thrive in this next chapter of your journey.
Go Maroons!
